The Smurfit Westrock Foundation was established in 2011 to support sustainable projects that make a meaningful difference in the communities where Smurfit Westrock has the privilege to operate.
Fully funded by Smurfit Westrock, the Smurfit Westrock Foundation has invested over €22 million, supporting 366 projects across 32 countries.
This long term commitment reflects our focus on improving health and nutrition, expanding access to education, and strengthening basic care for people in need.
In 2025, the Smurfit Westrock Foundation supported more than 60 projects in 20 countries, contributing over €4 million to initiatives that address inequality, promote inclusion, and enhance wellbeing.
Guided by the expertise and commitment of Smurfit Westrock employees, and in close collaboration with not-for-profit organisations, we are helping to build stronger, more inclusive communities around the world.

How to apply for funding
The process is quite simple and all applications are welcome, provided they comply with the conditions and are in line with the primary focus of the Smurfit Westrock Foundation, that is, to financially support sustainable projects that positively impact the lives of people in need within the communities where Smurfit Westrock operates. We are particularly interested in community projects in which Smurfit Westrock employees or their families are involved and where they would benefit from support from our Foundation.
